Workset creator enhances the Autodesk® Revit® workset edition by letting you mass change workset names with options like double click name editing, “Find and Replace”, or by “Adding a Prefix”. Also, it will create a bunch of worksets in just a few clicks letting you paste names from other apps like text files.
WorksetbyAverage will let you assign workset to multiple elements based in category, family or type, and will suggest you best target workset based on average workset of the same elements.
WorksetCreator and WorksetbyAverage will only work if your file is workset enable, as local or central file.
You have two main windows in WorksetCreator:
Left one with current existing worksets. From that window you can add some basic operations like:

You can add candidate names through pasting from clipboard or just typing multiple names.
Candidate names can also be edited and modified as the workset names by editing or through multiple edition options listed before.
You can also remove candidates by right-clicking and use Delete Selected option.
One finished you can quickly create worksets by clicking in the “Create Workset” button. All checked names will be created as new workset.
Optionally you can let WorksetCreator rename new workset if Autodesk® Revit® already has that workset name. Just select “Rename and Create” in “If Workset Exists…” options.
For those big projects with a lot of worksets, below main windows, you have a filter option that can filter current workset visualization showing you only string matched worksets. You can also filter using power regular expressions.
When launched WorksetbyAverage will filter out selection any elements without workset property.
Elements with workset properties will be listed in a tree structure using its category, family and type for every single element.
WorksetbyAverage will suggest you target workset based in workset where the majority of the same elements are and will show you an estimation percent of the same elements in suggested workset.
You will be able to change the target workset by right click, Select target Workset, and select desire workset. You can do it at any level of the tree structure, and it will be propagated to all branches.
If you double click over workset name you can modify it. In combination with the “Create Workset” option you can assign even to non-existing worksets and WorksetbyAverage will create it for you as it runs.
By pressing the “Change Workset” WorksetbyAverage will change workset of checked elements ignoring unchecked.
After processing all elements you will be reported and WorksetbyAverage will keep running still you press “All Done Button”.
You can change between tree view and regular list by unchecking “View as Tree”.
